After 20 years of serving the province Fr Buxton has retired as Provincial Registrar, priest director and Trustee. Fr Buxton has been a pivotal part of the reorganisation of our Society during that time and we owe him a great debt of gratitude for all that he has done and achieved both publicly and more importantly behind the scenes.
In order to facilitate the streamlining of the Society Fr Colin Amos has agreed to stand down as Secretary General. Fr Colin has served the Society diligently and flawlessly in many different roles and since 2000 has served variously as Local Vicar, Deputy Master, Provincial Master for Wales and latterly as Secretary General the latter role being the one he is best known for as he has been responsible for the immense work in updating the Roll and keeping it current. The brethren in this Province and further afield should be immensely grateful for all his hard work on their behalf over many years.
There will be an opportunity at the Holy Cross Day Synod (11am at Southwark Cathedral) to express our gratitude to both Fr Trevor and Fr Colin.
Fr Carl Schaefer will now take up the role of Secretary General, as well as being Provincial Secretary.
Fr James Mowbray is to be the fourth Trustee.”
